Perhaps because it was the last stop on the Grand Tour, surely because its beauty is highly seductive, one cannot remain indifferent to the millennial city of Naples. Naples, where students and professors from urbanism, architecture, architectural engineering and design from Northern and Southern European universities met twice a year between 2013 and 2018 to capture the qualities of Naples's specific territory and respond to the contemporary situation. The first part of the book relates to lectures given by local researchers. The second part concerns the tentative designs and resilience in the face of modern challenges. Again, the proposals at Naples’s persistence in hosting Europe’s historical richness through time, and its great diversity of people and uses throughout space.
