Miltiadis V. Papalexandris is professor at the Louvain School of Engineering of UCLouvain. He actively conducts research in theoretical and computational fluid dynamics, with emphasis on reacting flows (notably detonations and spray combustion) and multiphase flows (including granular suspensions, porous media and gas-liquid systems). His teaching assignments consist of courses in fluid mechanics, combustion and thermodynamics. Prior to his arrival at UCLouvain, he was member of the engineering staff of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He holds a Master in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, a Master in Aeronautics from Caltech and a PhD in Aeronautics and Applied Mathematics from Caltech.
