A sleeping beauty, a hitchhiker, a marathon runner's wall, a hand, a portico, an egg, a cross, a shrine, a stone garden, primitive forms, murals: just a few of the sights to see.
The four itineraries described in this guide take you round the public art in Ottignies- Louvain-la-Neuve, from the town centre to the science parks, passing through some of the greener areas of town. A hundred or so works of art have been selected, a feast for the eyes and the mind, inviting discovery and reflection. These are routes you can do on foot, by bike or by car, alone or with your friends, squeezed into a lunch-break or enjoyed on a family day out. Louvain-la-Neuve’s designers always intended there to be a role for art in the town. This entirely reworked third edition of the guide is intended to portray the vitality and beauty of this art, accessible to anyone who cares to look.
